"I can see these becoming a bit of a staple in my wardrobe. Thicker and more structured than leggings, they are the perfect tight black trousers. I really like the ankle zip detail which sets them apart from many other plain black trousers and the material seems sturdy. Another super piece from Baukjen!"

"I am a size 10-12 so i took note of other reviews and bought a size 10. They were huge so i exchanged for a size 8. to my surprise they are still to big and i have to wear them with a belt. Also they sag after wearing them all day."

"This is the third pair that I've brought, as I've lost my baby weight. my only reservation would be that I wish the fabric was stronger, so they would hold me in more. Apart from that, great."

"Loved these jeans but they were too big around the waist and massively too long. Could have coped with the length by wearing boots but as waist was too big regrettably I sent them back"

"I am delighted with these trousers.
If in doubt I wear them as they are so versatile!
I also have them in green and grey and wore them through out the winter but the black are so very dressy and smart I can wear them night and day. Just as well they wash well! As with all IO the fit is big so if you are between sizes I would suggest sizing down."

"As other reviewers have stated these are more like a very heavy jersey tregging than jeans but to me this was obvious from the photos. Bought the slate and sized down and they fit perfectly. They are a lovely length and comfortable to wear. I bought them to wear under tunics and dresses instead of skinny jeans and they do the job perfectly."

"i would send thiese back had i not worn them - i've worn them once and by the end of the day they look wrinkled at the knees. The fabric is not as resilitent as i was expecting for the price - i would say they are more like jean/leggings than jeans"

"The jeans are, as other reviewers have commented, rather more like jeggings/leggings, in spite of the heavy jersey. Because they have less structure, they didn't really suit me - you have to be fairly happy with your legs, and these didn't really flatter my post-pregnancy curves! Still, they are great quality, as usual with IO, and the olive green is a great colour."

"These are very stylish, but be prepared that they are more leggings than jeans. Size B was a good fit on me but does need a belt to keep them up! I was pleased with mine in the sale but don't think I would have paid full price. Overall though, very good.
Just a word on the speed of delivery - I ordered mine on 23rd December, standard delivery, and they came the next day, Christmas Eve - fantastic!"

"I agree with other reviews. These are structured leggings and not jeans. The material is lovely, thick and soft. I am 5' 2" and they bunch up a bit at the bottom even though my inside leg is 28 inches. I am a curvy 12-14, often wearing a size 14 on my bottom half but the size 12 fits easily. Very stylish and extremely comfortable alternative to jeans."

"I bought these for a weekend away with my husband and I needed to make my wardrobe more stylish, less mumsy. These did the trick perfectly and they are really comfortable too. The only reason I marked them down on Fit is because I am only 5'2" and the trousers are on the longside. I've got round this little problem by hiding the excess material in knee-high boots or underneath a gorgeous IO jersey."

"Love the design details of the zips and really like the skinny shape. Only criticism is that after my first day of wearing they felt a loose around the waist. I'd already ordered a size down usually I'm a 12 but got a 10 in these following trying them at the Chiswick Hotel evening with advise from the great IO girls. Still love them but am now wearing with a belt!!"

"Ordered the ponti jeans in a size 8, caviar black - fit is great (usually a size 6-8) and unbelievably comfortable, look fab was so pleased with them. They are are a great alternative to jeans, and much more substantial and stylish than leggings. work well with boots or ballet flats/ heels. Would love some in every colour!"

"I asked a couple of questions regarding whether the product has a high or low waist before I ordered and the response was swift and accurate. I placed an order using the size chart as this was my first purchase and this was not so accurate so I ordered a size smaller which fitted beautifully, however after wearing them once I have noticed that a metal stud has fallen off, I have not returned them yet but I am not anticipating any problem and have already recommended Isabella Oliver to my girl friends."

"I cannot resist black trousers and these are different - so I had to have them! I love the quality and the style. I know I will get a lot of wear from them, especially when it gets colder as they are thicker than leggings and a good tight weave. They look great with tunics."
