"Ordered in a size 1 as am normally a UK8, but this was just massive. Ended up returning as even the 0 would have been way too big - was more like a size UK14. So def order down a size or 2. Fabric was also a bit thinner than expected. Disappointing."

"I do love this skirt. It's very stylish for work and very comfortable.
BUT. It comes up rather large. I'm a size 4 in IO maternity clothes on all bar one item, and so I ordered a 4 again. But it kept sliding off me at work when I wore it on Monday. Quite embarrassing. Am going to have to shelve it for a few weeks until the bump is bigger (I'm 20 weeks) to avoid any skirt related mishaps.
So disappointing. It only gets a 3 star rating as it's so stylish. From a fit point of view I'm not v happy."

"Was wearing the essential pencil skirt from the IO 365 collection until I hit 16 weeks but it started to get pretty tight. The midi pencil skirt from the maternity range runs slightly larger in size but that's not a bad thing considering I'll only get bigger. Very comfortable, the perfect length and easy to walk in. Overall a very worthwhile purchase and should get lots of wear out of it."

"This skirt is fab, lovely heavy jersey and sleek shape. I am a UK10 and got an IO 2 and would say it is just a tiny bit large around the waist (and I am 31 weeks, so not exactly small) size 1 might have been better."

"Love the midi pencil skirt, the below the knee length is very stylish and it's very fitted which looks great and is slimming. I looks great glammed up for evenings, it works fabulously for work and even with some flats or converse and a casual jacket - it's great for weekends too. Very happy with this purchase. It's great fit too."

"bought the size up (2) after I read the reviews but I feel it is a bit too big. The bottom of the skirt is extremely narrow which does make it hard to walk in but it does look good with little heels and one of the wrap tops."

"i love this skirt. it is so stylish and comfortable. the fabric is wonderful and feels great on my pregnant body. i know i'll be wearing this skirt a ton, and its something i'd certainly wear not pregnant if it would fit. the sizing is very generous, i wear a US 6-8 in skirts depending on the designer, and i ordered a 6 in this and it fits perfectly and will grow with me too. yes, the belly part is big, but i'm only 17 weeks along and i'm sure i'll fill it out. i have tried on other maternity clothes from other designers where the belly band is snug and they are miserable to wear. for now, it goes under my belly, and later when i fill it out, it goes over. absolutely perfect. i didn't have a huge maternity budget to work with but this skirt is a must and worth half of it!!"

"This skirt is beautiful in every way! It fits like a dream, looks so classy and sexy, and the fabric is great quality. It's stretchy and fitted but looks very streamlined, you don't see any body imperfections. I wasn't sure whether I should order a small or medium but after reading some reviews that it runs small and I thought I might be between sizes anyway, I ordered the medium. It's perfect. It feels snug thru out my legs but I can tell that I still have growing room for the last 3 months of my pregnancy. I'm so glad I ordered this!"

"I just love the look of this skirt! The fabric is excellent and the look is so stylish. I purchased this item at 18 weeks and as this is my first preganancy I am not very big yet. I am now 22 weeks and it is fitting me better. As the style is over the stomach which is so comfortable you are better to purchase this item around 24 - 26 weeks. It is a great item to have in your wardobe as you can wear it until the end of your preganancy.
Great Purchase!!!"

"I am over 40, and expecting my eighth child, I decided it was time to buy myself some stylish clothes. There is not much available locally, and when I looked online and saw the Isabella Oliver clothes, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were. i have had so many comments about how flattering they are. I just wish I had discovered them in a previous pregnancy, not at number eight."

"I am embarrassed by the number of times I've worn this skirt. It's perfect. I wear it to the office, out to dinner, church and other events. This is, hands down, my best prego purchase. The fabric and fit are perfect and will last (and stretch) throughout the fall/winter."

"This is exactly what I was looking for, very flattering and sexy (much more so than the rusched pencil skirt which I purchased in two different sizes and then ultimately had to return because it just sags between your legs at the bottom). Granted I agree with the other reviewers about it being big on top around the belly (I am 24 weeks and it was ok but wouldn't work for a belly much smaller) The best part about this skirt is you can wear it with all the isabella oliver tops, especially nice with the rusched ones in all black, it makes them look like a dress and the rushed top holds in the looseness of the top of the skirt or just fold it under your belly. Overall a great purchase and a gorgeous skirt to make you feel sexy when you feel far from it!"

"I work in an office and it is very difficult to find a sexy yet professional Maternity skirt. I know it sounds like a total fluke but this skirt does all three. If you one of those girls who's belly doesn't get that big then this skirt may not fit well. My stomach got very large for both of my daughters and this was the best looking skir and it was very comfortable. Didn't dig in like those under belly skirts and it still fit my legs and booty which didn't get that big! Great skirt. I love it. I want one for when I'm not pregnant!"

"Great skirt for curvy women. I'm 5'8, so the length is perfect and the size is very generous. Plenty of room to grow in it. The top of the skirt goes over your belly and nothing digs in at all. The fabric is a good thickness for smooth lines, no bumpy seams at all. Brilliant for work or for going out. Highly recommend this skirt."

"This skirt is very stylish and sleek, however the maternity panel is just too roomy. I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and the panel just sags around my body. I couldn't wear a smaller size, bc the actual skirt fits perfectly. I guess I will just have to wait until my belly grows more"
