"Love the fitted, curvy look of this skirt, but i would definitely go down in size. I'm size 12US and size 5 was just way too large and skirt ended up looking droopy. (This might not be the case if you carry your weight around your hips and bum.) Size 4 was a much better fit because this skirt is meant to be form fitting. It will fall below your knees unless you're really tall with long legs. As pictured, except if you don't get it in right size, it will fall to mid-calf if you're average height. Versatile skirt, can dress up or down. Note that the fabric is not thick and is ever so slightly see through around knees where light filters through skirt."

"I'm 21 weeks and bought a black skirt in a 5UK. The skirt looks HUGE! But when I tried it on I was pleased with the overall fit and feel. Other reviewers noted that the band is big- that is true. I am a true size 12 US and I probably should have ordered a 4UK but I'm keeping this size because I can play with the band by folding it over itself. Also I'm 5'4" tall and the skirt is long. The band reaches under my bra when the the skirt hits at the level of the model. I don't mind because it's winter and it keeps me nice and warm. The skirt looks great with sleek black boots and the Scoop top- makes it look like a dress if you wear matching color top. The material is VERY soft and it drapes over skin without being clingy or feeling tight. The caviar black color is truly black- absolutely beautiful! Because of the looser fit I had no problems walking in this skirt. The stretch material is very soft and the ruched feature clings in all the right places hiding unsightly lumps and bumps without having to wear a body shaper. Very comfortable! You can dress up for evening or dress down to casual neat for day and still look stylish and polished."

"This is a beautiful skirt that is super comfortable but yet still hugs the curves so it looks sexy but still classy. One thing to note though - the size does run large, so you might want size down if you want a good fit, although I can forsee that this won't be a problem when I grow bigger - am now at 20 weeks."

"Just received the midi ruched skirt and am so happy! I am only 14 weeks and was finding it hard to fit into my normal clothes and this skirt is just perfect. I can see myself wearing it throughout this pregnancy and i love the way you can wear the skirt with the band folded over or completely covering your bump. I plan to wear it for work but you could easily dress it down as well. I am normally an IO side 3 but bought the size 2 and find it a perfect fit."

"I bought the midi pencil skirt and was really impressed with the fit and quality so bought the midi ruched skirt. This skirt is only one layer and requires a slip to be worn underneath due to its clinginess - particularly for work. Is still very flattering and a great length if you have long legs (I'm 6"1 and it reaches below my knee). Nice skirt but would recommend the midi pencil over this style."

"Out of all my IO skirts (I own several of their pencil skirts, the hipster and the midi skirt) and all other maternity skirts I've ever tried/owned, this is the best in terms of comfort, looks, and fit. My normal size does not even come close to fitting - I have to go to a size 2 - then it is perfect. For comparison, I wore size 4 black pencil skirts for most of my pregnancy, switching to size 5 for late pregnancy. I own one of these skirts in size 3 and it would only fit in very late pregnancy, worn over the belly. The downside: it's two layers of fabric all the way up over your belly, i.e. covering most of your body. This means that it's much too hot in summer. Nonetheless, since it's also an outstanding non-maternity skirt, you don't really lose anything if you can only wear it for part of your pregnancy. I find it indispensable for wear around a toddler (spilled coffee, hot chocolate, etc. just blot out and "disappear" with no visible stains - even white foods e.g. ice cream come out neatly and quickly with a damp terry washcloth which leaves no lint). When spills are blotted out of it, it returns to a normal appearance almost immediately. Packs very well too. What can I say - I'm getting another one in size 2 as soon as possible."

"Was disappointed by this skirt. First of all, the material looked and felt very cheap. Seems to be a disconnect between the cut of the skirt (fancy/sexy) and the material (casual). The skirt is a "sausage cut" with a lot of gathering on the sides, that is simply too sexy for work -- and way too much with any of the IO tops recommended to go with it. This + the Portrait was too sexy -- completely inappropriate for the office. Would be fine for attending a cocktail party or nice dinner, but that's not what I was buying it for"

"Great fit, yet moves when you walk, so basically unless you plan to entertain indoors and not more much this skirt is a hassle to use. You spend more time adjusting as you walk rather than just walking."

"This is a great skirt if you are not afraid to bear your curves (and, of course, if you are excited to do so, even better). And when I say curves, I mean those in the BACK. Given my line of work -- lawyer -- this is definitely not a work skirt for me. Too form fitting. But it served me very well w/ the portrait top for a super-special holiday event I attended at 24 weeks."

"I received this skirt as my husband present.I put three stars on fit because he followed the reviews and tooked one size less than I have. For me to take size 3 in stead of 4 works because the material is very flattering and makes the effect ruched although I have big hips and not pregnant at the moment. If I would be pregnant I would choose the size 4 because the 3 should be small for tummy area. I didn't wear yet but I would like to combinated with my couples os portrait tops and also with my black bandau top makes the effect of a dress. The skirt is very versatil and confortable and makes you look very sexy.My husband love it!!!"

"I totally love this skirt. It is very smart for work but also super comfortable and stylish and sexy enough for a night out. So far (6 months pregnant) it has been great with my normal stretchy tops but I think soon it will look better with slightly longer maternity tops."

My new skirt is not only comfortable, but quite possibly even more stylish than my usual workwear!
I can highly recommend."

"I'm so happy that I bought this skirt. I find it so difficult making purchases online due to proper fit, etc. This skirt is VERY flattering and extremely comfortable. I'm normally a size 6-8 US and I ordered this in a size 2. It is a little big on me, but it will definitely last throughout my entire pregnancy. I am only 13 weeks, but I have become a litlle "hippy" and I was looking for a skirt that I could double as a day or evening style. I couldn't be more pleased! It feels really good, and extremely flattering. It really elongates the legs and slims the hip area without being being too snug in the back area. Coupled with a nice medium length cardigan, I will feel comfortable wearing this skirt to work. I work in a very conservative field and I feel as if it is still appropriate. I also bought the portrait top, and it DOES look like a very sexy dress for night outings! This is the only maternity article of clothing that I have ever purchased that made me feel HOT :) However, it does run big, so order a size down. Also, I am tall 5'9, and it comes below my knee, so I'm not sure this would be a good fit for a more petite person."

"Definitely buy this skirt in the smaller size. I am a definite size 12 and bought the size 3 - I was really disappointed with it as it was very shapeless and hung on me, not sexy like in the pic.
I decided to try it in the size 2 and I am so pleased I did. It is very stretchy so it is not risky going down a size. I have worn it twice to weddings, worn as a boob tube dress (pull the bump band up) and got so many compliments and felt really good in it. It can be easily dressed up with jewellery.
I have not worn it to work as a skirt yet, not sure if it is a bit too sexy, but it worth buying it for the dress option alone. It goes perfectly too with the black portrait top, so it looks like a dress.
One other word of warning, it is quite long as a skirt. I am 5'10 and it is just below the knee on me. The bump band is also quite long (hence why it works as a knee length boob tube dress) so if you are quite short it may be too long for you.
Highly recommended but do go down a size."

"A fantastic skirt which is so versatile. Wear as a dress or a skirt. It is so comfortable to wear and I truly feel fabulous in it and not at all frumpy like some maternity clothes make you feel. So nice to feel womanly and sexy and be able to celebrate your bump stylishly! I have had so many comments from people on how great I look. A definite maternity must have!"
